Description

Analytical Services and Materials, Inc. (AS&M) is looking for a full-time Senior Engineer to support the Nasa Langley Research Center under the Research, Engineering, and Science Services (RSES) contract.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in the acquisition of data through advanced nondestructive methods

  • Set up, execute, and process large amounts of experimental data

  • Coordinate and conduct test-specimen and test-fixture preparation for nondestructive data acquisition techniques

  • Test non-standard structures or materials

  • Provide major digital image correlation (DIC) systems support for multiple projects including aerospace applications

Required Qualifications

Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.

A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required

Must have experience with DIC software setup, optimization, data acquisition, and processing

Experience with software programs such as Excel, MatLab, and Python is preferred

Experience with CAD and finite element software is preferred

Attendance

Regular, on-site, attendance is mandatory (100%).

Occasional overtime/work outside the normal schedule may be required (<20%).
