AS&M is a major subcontractor to Lockheed Martin in support of NASA DFRC's Airborne Sciences Program. AS&M leads the DC-8 Airborne Laboratory engineering effort and also provides ER-2 data systems engineering support. The tasks under this contract are varied and require particular management emphasis on implementing and maintaining quality and safety policies and procedures to ensure that proper safety practices are followed to at all times. Special attention is paid to the airworthiness and operation of experimental integrations, which often utilize hazardous materials.
